Quite actively used for sanctioned racing since the 90's, however in 2007 not a single race has been held at the track. It is one of the most active tracks in the Malaysia for arrive-and-drive rental activity and corporate events.

First Race at Shah Alam Kart Track

My first race at Shah Alam Kart Track was fantastic. I was the first champion at this track for the MTDC go-kart challenge on June 2007. My winning was just 0.70 sec from my friend kherul who finished second. We were side by side at the finishing lane.

My timing on the fun kart was 1 minute 25.+++ sec on the practice lap then 1 minute 17.+++sec on the qualifying lap and on the race my fastest time is 1 minute 16.+++sec on the last lap.


I was told that the fastest time for the fun kart is 1 minute 11.+++ sec. But i guess that was when the karts are new.

Second Race at Shah Alam Kart Track

Then we race again on Dec 2007. This time i only finished third behind Kherul and Zam for the MTDC go-kart challenge. This is after the front guy of me got spin when he collided with the back markers on 2 laps to go. I was fourth at that time. I started fourth on the grid trying to get pass the front runners on the first lap but got my kart turning zig zag at the second corner. I lost almost 10 second because of that.

This time i clock 1 minute 16.+++ sec on the practice and qualifying time.
I clock 1 minute 15.+++sec on the race.

Third Race at Shah Alam Kart Track

On August 2008 we had the MTDC go-kart challenge. This is the third time for us to race at this favourite track.

I finished second behind Zam while my main rivals Kherul could only managed 8th places due to kart tyre grip problem. I started on pole but then got passed by Zam on the straight on the second lap, managed to get back by his side back on the last lap but got pushed a side almost to the grass. Have to satisfied 2nd.

This time i clock 1 minute 15.+++sec on all practice, qualifying and on race i clock low 1 minute 15.070 sec the fastest lap race time.

Next race might change venue to Sepang Kart Track.
